11 Observations From Day 13 of Houston Texans Training Camp
One of the longer and harder practices of training camp so far
The Houston Texans had a midday workout for their 13th day of training camp.
Here are 11 observations from the practice.
The offense was consistently inconsistent again. I don’t think it is too much to ask for the offense to rip the defense apart one practice. Is it? Against this defense, I suppose that’s a tough task. It felt like there might be some juice to the offense in this practice, and then the defense put the squeeze on them yet again. It is rare for the offense to string a few positive plays in a row.
I’m not ready to worry about the offensive line. Not yet. There is some concern on the horizon, though. There are too many plays where the rushing attack is bottled up around the line of scrimmage. C.J. Stroud has to contend with pressure more than he should each day. The plays where the offense moves the ball on the ground seem like a Herculean effort. It’s not all bad, but there is a lack of consistency.
