The Houston Texans lost their second preseason game to the Miami Dolphins 28-3.

Here are 11 observations from the preseason loss to the Dolphins.

  1. C.J. Stroud had a better day than his Patriots performance. The rookie quarterback showed better command and made a few plays. His final line, while not remarkable, was improved greatly. He completed seven of his 12 passes for 60 yards leading one scoring drive. The four drives spanned the two first quarters of football. It wasn’t all good, as Stroud mentioned after the game. He said he appreciates the chance to learn from the mistakes and took a lot of blame for some of the offensive hiccups.
