It was back-and-forth between the offense and the defense

The Houston Texans had their next-to-last training camp practice of 2024 on Wednesday. It was one of the warmer practices but also one of the most well-balanced practices between offense and defense.

Here are 11 observations from the practice.

  1. The offense has some incredible moments when it all clicks. Offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik has mentioned plenty they put the offense in unfavorable positions to workout what they may experience in games. That lends itself to some of the defense’s success. When it is rolling though, the offense hums with C.J. Stroud at the wheel. A few weeks into the regular season this group should be hard to stop and it might be as dangerous as possible from the first kickoff.
