The second of four joint practices this preseason is in the books. The Texans and the Dolphins will square off on Saturday in the second preseason game. C.J. Stroud will start the preseason game. DeMeco Ryans announced Stroud, and “all” their players would play on Saturday.

Here are 14 observations from the joint practice on August 17.

  1. The day was won overall by the Dolphins. Their offense wasn’t great but moved the ball pretty well. Their defense gave the Texans fits all day. It was nothing like the previous day when the Texans were able to bounce back from a bad stretch. Once the team periods started it was all Dolphins usually.
