2015's Draft Has 2024 Texans Ready to Take the Leap
A decade ago two key players for the 2024 Texans hit the league
The success of the 2024 Houston Texans season very well could rest in the hands of two draft picks from a decade ago.
“The Minnesota Vikings select…” preceded the names of Danielle Hunter and Stefon Diggs in 2015.
The knock on Hunter was his knowledge of the game and ability to execute. Diggs was saddled with the “character issues” criticism. There were concerns about durability.
Hunter has had the seventh-most sacks in football since he was drafted. He was also the youngest player to have 50 sacks. Diggs has played the seventh-most games at wide receiver since he was drafted, and teammates lauded him as a guy they loved in the locker room.
In 2024, the Texans acquired both Hunter and Diggs with the hope the success from the last nine years is replicated, and maybe even improved upon in Houston.
