As Stroud Returns, Texans Need to Adjust Not Change
The Houston Texans get their QB back, but need to get back to what they do
The Houston Texans can’t change. Not now.
C.J. Stroud is set to return from his concussion and start on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. He’s practiced all week and cleared the concussion protocol.
Now that he’s back it should be business as usual.
The Texans don’t need to overthink Stroud’s return. He didn’t get a concussion because of an inability to execute the current offense. Stroud got a concussion because Quinnen Williams played through the whistle and slammed him on an unimpressive playing surface in New York. It could have happened to any player.
Houston doesn’t need to neuter or change the offense because C.J. Stroud got a concussion two weeks ago.
