The Houston Texans practiced inside the bubble for their 14th training camp practice.
Here are 11 observations from the workout.
Tight end Brevin Jordan left practice on a cart. He suffered an injury as he tried to leap and come down with a high pass. When it happened, most of his teammates took a knee. Jordan was helped to his feet and placed on the cart. He was voicing his displeasure with his situation through wailing cries. Teammates huddled around him before he left and prayed over Jordan. He departed on the cart, distraught. C.J. Stroud and Azeez Al-Shaair looked particularly shaken up by the injury. The team circled up, and DeMeco Ryans delivered a message to them. Practice continued.
The offense had its best drive of the preseason against the defense. The ball came out quickly. Stroud was decisive. The protection was good. Dalton Schultz got open a few times. The offense even overcame a negative play. It was the best the offense has looked at any point in the preseason.
