The Houston Texans signed tight end Dalton Schultz to a new contract worth $36 million over three years and nearly $24 million guaranteed.
It was a move the team needed to make.
The cost doesn’t keep them from making other moves and there wasn’t a trustworthy replacement for Schultz in 2024.
