Is Slowik scheming himself out of the HC conversation?

Great question - a lot like the Texans offense, believe it's too early to tell.

Slowik will be valued for how well he boosted a rookie quarterback last year and that scheme tree is almost universally coveted. If they can pivot from their early woes and still end up as Top 12-14ish offense I imagine he'll land one of the head coaching gigs.

Would really have to continue to tank this year and see regression from Stroud for the sentiment on Slowik to change.

Texans are lucky to be 2 and 1. This is not last year’s schedule- you can see what happens when they play a playoff caliber team. Slowick faced weak teams last year and is failing the test for HC position based on his performance this year,

His schemes to run the ball are not getting the job done. He is definitely not HC material and after this years performance should they continue I would look else where. Nice guy but nice guys are fired every day.

Lucky to be 2-1 may be overly critical, they had a talent advantage on Indianapolis and Chicago and outplayed them, even if we all believe it probably wasn't their 100% best effort.

Would be patient until Thanksgiving for any sweeping declarations on who he is as a coach. This offensive line needs time to figure their stuff out and Slowik himself is going to need live game reps to properly determine what the best plays are for his personnel. It's a work in progress with this many new pieces.

Still fuming on the Tunsil "don't give a rip attitude clip." Everyone says elite. Elites do NOT make those mistakes consistently.
