The Texans missed on Keenan Allen, but who could they chase after the miss?

The Houston Texans tried to trade for Keenan Allen of the Los Angeles Chargers over the weekend before ultimately Allen ended up on the Chicago Bears for a selection in this year’s fourth round. The Texans reportedly offered a pick in the third next year and a pick swap this year, but the Bears beat them out.

Allen would have given the Texans a fantastic and versatile trio at wide receiver. Houston would have reportedly extended the veteran wideout as well.

Allen’s pursuit makes sense as it would solidify the wide receiver room and allow the Texans to be as flexible as possible in the draft.

Houston also appears to want to keep the selections in this year’s draft based on the offer of a future third.
