There are more undecided spots heading into training camp than last year. These are the four most compelling battles to watch in training camp.
Wide Receiver
The battle to see who fills out the depth chart behind Nico Collins should be thrilling. This competition is less about making the team and more about seeing who C.J. Stroud can trust in the passing attack. There are plenty of options. There are plenty of new faces.
Christian Kirk feels like a safe bet to win the targets behind Collins. Kirk is a veteran who has been productive when he has been healthy. He should occupy the slot in new offensive coordinator Nick Caley’s offense. Caley’s history dictates that the slot wideout will be involved in the offense. Storud is also excellent at throwing the ball over the middle.
