The Houston Texans won 20-13 against the Saints to earn their third win of the season.

Here are 11 observations from the win.

  1. C.J. Stroud makes some hard stuff look really easy. Stroud’s early big completion to Nico Collins who was covered by Marshon Lattimore was a thing of beauty. It looked easy for Stroud but that was a difficult play. It wasn’t nearly as easy or crisp on offense as the pressure from the Saints heated up in the second half, but Stroud did a decent job keeping pressure from drastically affecting the offense.

  2. It was a decent job, but not perfect. C.J. Stroud ran the Texans into a bad sack late in the game and there was a time or two he just didn’t trust the pocket and broke it early. The poise in the pocket and with the passes weren’t quite there in the second half. A little more efficiency and the Texans probably don’t have to sweat things as much as they did. Stroud was notably hard on himself as usual and said the interception he threw wasn’t even some of the worst stuff he did.

  3. C.J. Stroud finally threw an interception. Stourd gave a lot of credit to Zach Braun the Saints linebacker after the game. He said he was in a great spot to attack whatever the Texans did in that position. The play to get the ball back on the very same play is phenomenal. C.J. Stroud joked he helped get it back but noted Nico Collins knocking the ball out was the player who deserves accolades.
