Improvement is Needed from C.J. Stroud After the Playoff Disappointment
What's next for Joe Mixon? A look at one coaching spot that might need a change
The Houston Texans are getting ready for the offseason. They are not preparing to play in the franchise’s first-ever AFC Championship game. The Texans are planning, not playing, in large part thanks to C.J. Stroud.
“When you look at the game the other day, you can’t turn the ball over five times,” general manager Nick Caserio said Wednesday.
Stroud perpetrated four of the turnovers. Three squarely on him, with one a little iffy on a high throw that bounced off one of his receiver’s hands.
“He’ll be the first to tell you he didn’t play well on Sunday,” Caserio said. “I’m not going to sit here and tell you he played well either. He knows that. In the end, got to learn from it.”
Caserio said Stroud had a good season. He specifically mentioned the quarterback’s performance against the Kansas City Chiefs as a game Houston would’ve lost without Stroud. He’s not wrong about that game.
It was far from an easy season for the quarterback.
