Is Dalton Schultz Close to Breaking Out?
Share

Dalton Schultz is on pace for his worst professional season since he became a full-time starter. Schultz at this pace would finish with 51 catches on 85 targets and 405 yards.

He hasn’t caught a touchdown.

It was expected to see Schultz tick down a little with the offseason additions of Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon. Mixon would help the run game, and he can catch the ball. Diggs of course is the target leader and tied for the team lead in touchdowns.

Schultz is fourth in targets and receptions. He’s fifth in yards. His 7.9 yards per reception is a career low.

Offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik intimidated there could be more to Schultz’s stats, but it just hasn’t hit just yet.
