Joe Mixon Sounds Ready to Return and Pick Up Where He Left Off

The veteran running back hasn't played since week two due to injury

Joe Mixon said he’s been going back and forth with the training staff. They were trying to determine when he would return to the field for the Houston Texans.

Mixon hasn’t played since the middle of the team’s win over the Chicago Bears. He suffered an ankle injury on a hip-drop tackle, a move the league has looked to eliminate for player safety.

As Mixon put it the “weak ass” hip-drop tackle.

Has it been tough watching the team while he’s been out?

“Shit, what you think,” Mixon asked with seeming shock at the question. “I was number one in the league in rushing. I want to be out there…I want to be out there more than anybody.”
