Kenny Pickett Shouldn't Scare the Texans but the Steelers aren't a Pushover

The Texans will have their hands full with the Steelers Sunday

I don’t believe Kenny Pickett is good at football. I never have believed in Pickett’s NFL future and I likely never will.

Despite Pickett’s lack of ability to instill fear, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be a tough matchup for the defense of the Texans.

Here’s a preview of all the elements of the Pittsburgh offense before Sunday’s matchup.

Kenny Pickett Finally Picked It Up

Kenny Pickett is coming into this game off his best game as a pro. Well, kind of his best game. The second-year quarterback finally threw two touchdowns in a single game in his 15th start in the NFL. It was the first time he had a triple-digit quarterback rating and the first time this season he didn’t throw an interception.

There’s nothing amazing about Pickett. He took care of the ball well at the end of last season, but he’s been reckless to start this season. The Steelers have hit some big plays this season with two completions over 70 yards for scores, but if you take those two away Pickett has the league’s worst yards per attempt.

The Texans are not the Browns or the 49ers who played Pittsburgh in the first two weeks of the season. That skews Pickett some, but even against the Raiders last week there’s some ugly to Pickett’s game.
