The Houston Texans have won three straight games and are 6-4 on the season after beating the Cardinals 21-16.
Here are 11 observations from the victory.
The Texans closed it out on defense to put the Cardinals away. After some moments against the Falcons and Panthers led to losses, and the past two weeks forced the offense to save them, the defense finished. It was a tough assignment for the defense, but they stopped the Cardinals on multiple fourth downs, including the final one. The defense owed the offense one and they paid their debt Sunday afternoon.
C.J. Stroud had three interceptions in tough spots. He said he didn’t feel like he had a bad game but noted he can’t turn the ball over in those spots. Stroud was still impressive overall with another 336 yards passing and yet another highlight reel throw to Tank Dell. Offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik noted this week Stroud has a short memory but a permanent memory as well. It will be interesting to see how he files away and recovers from these interceptions.
