One Day Later: Concussion Protocol for C.J. Stroud and Chance to Bounce Back for Rest of Team
C.J. Stroud has quite the road ahead to play on Sunday
C.J. Stroud is in concussion protocol. His status for Sunday in Tennessee against the Titans is up in the air.
Stroud is in the protocol after taking a vicious hit from defensive tackle Quinnen Williams during the loss to the Jets.
Can C.J. Stroud play on Sunday? Yes.
How does he play on Sunday? He clears concussion protocol.
Can he clear the concussion protocol before Sunday’s game? Maybe.
“I don’t think many guys have came back the following week after a concussion,” DeMeco Ryans said Monday.
He’s right.
The NFL doesn’t typically see players play the very next game after entering the concussion protocol. Most players will miss a game, maybe more.
