The Houston Texans had their third open OTA workout of the offseason on Tuesday. Here are 11 observations from the practice.
C.J. Stroud still didn’t throw in this practice. DeMeco Ryans addressed the quarterback’s lack of throwing after practice. He said there is “general soreness” and the team is taking extra precautions with Stroud. Ryans added he had “no concerns” about Stroud not throwing. He declined to answer a question about Stroud having offseason shoulder surgery. Davis Mills was solid again. Kedon Slovis leaves plenty to be desired. Rookie quarterback Graham Mertz observed but didn’t participate in practice. Ryans didn’t commit to Stroud throwing next week at mandatory minicamp.
