Stroud's Significant Seven from Epic Tampa Bay Comeback
The rookie quarterback had plenty of eye-popping passes in this one
This was quite the exercise this week as C.J. Stroud and his teammates had a multitude of highlight-worthy plays. These are the seven plays with most of them coming from the second half where the offense was playing its best.
1st Quarter - 1:33 - 2nd and 9 on the Houston 10 - C.J. Stroud pass incomplete intended for Tank Dell.
This was a miss from C.J. Stroud that I am sure will haunt him watching the film back. He more than made up for it, but he has to hit this throw. There isn’t any pressure, the pocket is fine, and he just overthrows it. It was one of the first half miscues that disappeared in the second half. I don’t anticipate he will miss this throw again to Tank Dell, and later in the game, well, he didn’t.
2nd Quarter - 7:44 - 1st and 10 on the Houston 41 - C.J. Stroud pass incomplete intended for Nico Collins.
This was a touchdown. You see the lack of defenders in front of Collins and this is the second pass of the day that was a touchdown. Some blame to Collins, this is a catchable ball. Not easy to catch, but catchable. Some blame to Stroud. This should be put in a better spot for Collins to catch and run and take it to the house. This too will feel like a huge miss from the first half.
