Stroud's Significant Seven from the Loss to the Jets
It was a tough day for the quarterback and his offense
This was the ugliest set of plays to pull all season long. Even the Carolina Panthers game had a bunch more than this. A lot of these demonstrate how tough the day was for the offense as well. I would say “Enjoy” but that’s not really what would happen as you watch these.
1st Quarter - 14:29 - 2nd and 7 on the Houston 28 - C.J. Stroud pass complete to Nico Collins for a gain of 13 yards.
It would be the lone connection between C.J. Stroud and Nico Collins on the day as Collins would leave with a calf injury. This is stuff that looks so easy for Stroud. He scans, picks up Collins as he’s coming across, and rolls out to deliver a nice easy throw. This was about the only time something looked easy for the Texans on the day. Stroud makes this somewhat challenging play look easy and he makes the throw regularly.
2nd Quarter - 13:32 - 3rd and 21 from the Houston 22 - C.J. Stroud pass incomplete intended for Noah Brown. Illegal contact on Sauce Gardner. First Down.
