Stroud's Significant Seven from Upset of Bengals
Some dynamic and unique plays that very few players could make
This was a fantastic game, again, from C.J. Stroud. A lot to like about this performance with a couple of gripes from late in the game. He dazzled with his mobility and again showcased his precision. Here are the seven plays highlighted from the win over the Bengals.
2nd Quarter - 2:01 - 2nd and 5 on the Houston 17 - C.J. Stroud pass complete to Noah Brown for a gain of 28 yards.
This is the first of many plays that make you say “watch out” and then C.J. Stroud is making a beautiful throw. Stroud thinks about going to the checkdown to his left but the Bengals are chasing him. No problem he will just on the run fire one off to Noah Brown. Look at that freaking throw! He’s barely set!
3rd Quarter - 13:46 - 2nd and 7 on the Houston 40 - C.J. Stroud pass complete to Noah Brown for a gain of 20 yards.
This is one of the most impressive plays of the NFL season. C.J. Stroud runs play action and a defender is in his face almost immediately. He moves out of the way with ease, scrambles around, faces more pressure, and then again on the run with his feet barely set he throws to a wideout who has scrambled open. Oh, and he had to find that wideout because twice he isn’t anywhere near seeing him.
