Free agency starts in a few hours. The “legal tampering” period begins. Teams can agree to a contract with a player but it isn’t executed and official until Wednesday afternoon. So, essentially, free agency starts at 11 am CST.
According to Over the Cap, the Texans have about $60 million in cap space.
Here are the must-haves for the Texans in free agency.
Running Back Investment
The Texans have to improve the rushing attack. While it had its moments, it overall wasn’t impressive. The team finished 23rd in rushing yardage and finished 29th in yards per carry. Teams frequently forced the Texans to be one dimensional and the short-yardage attack was unreliable.
Free agency can change all of this.
