The Houston Texans beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-31 in London. They’re now 2-4 on the season.
Here are 11 observations from the win.
The Houston Texans needed this one. And they got it. A victory over the Titans meant little. Beating a good team like the Jacksonville Jaguars meant a lot. Avoiding digging their hole even deeper was the most important element. The Texans are starting to climb out of that awful start. This win also showed the ability to close the game. They got contributions in the last bit from all three phases and won a game that they undoubtedly would’ve lost a few weeks ago. They finished, after failing to do so three previous times this season.
C.J. Stroud is lava hot right now. He is locked in. The laser focus is apparent. The Texans have a chance to beat any team left on their schedule with Stroud playing this well. He’s calm in the pocket, but managing it when needed to create more. His accuracy is pinpoint. It’s the best football of his career. Since he stepped on the field in training camp, he has done everything you could’ve hoped for and more. Stroud is using the full range of weaponry on this offense. It’s a great watch each week.
