Texans Have a Carolina Catastrophe as They Lose to Panthers
The offense disappoints on a day where the defense almost did enough
The Houston Texans are now 3-4 after being the first win of the season for the Carolina Panthers.
Here are 11 observations from the loss to the Panthers.
An absolute disaster of a loss. It is the worst performance by the offense this season. Outside of two drives, there isn’t much to be excited about with the offense. This team STILL has iffy timing on when to run the football. It STILL trusts the rushing attack too much. A brutal performance by the offense really spoiled a solid defensive performance.
Bobby Slowik has to change some things in the way he operates. There is too much reliance on a shaky run game. If the Texans weren’t going to run the ball effectively and consistently this week against this defense, they might not all season. The offensive line was bad in blocking on the ground too. The success in the air we had seen was few and far between too. Some of the stuff that had been working was absent. I don’t get how it comes to this.
