The Houston Texans are headed to summer break as minicamp work concluded for the team. Here are 11 observations from the final open workout before training camp.

  1. It was a solid day on both sides of the ball. The offense fared better than Tuesday’s practice. The defense still had some good moments. It’s still a little tilted to the defense, but the offense was solid. It’s the kind of practice DeMeco Ryans has to love. There were teaching and growth moments for both sides. If I had to judge it like a combat sport, I would say it's a split decision in favor of the defense.

  2. Christian Kirk looked excellent. The veteran receiver dropped a beautiful pass
