Texans Take Multiple Immediate Helpers But the Potential is Where Day 2 Shined
Wide receivers and an offensive lineman headline the 2025 Draft Class
The Houston Texans didn’t make a pick on the first night of the NFL Draft. They wasted no time making the team better on the second night.
Houston stayed busy, starting the day with five selections in the second and third rounds combined. They finished the day with three new offensive players and one new versatile defender.
Here’s a breakdown of each selection.
34th Overall - Iowa State Wide Receiver Jayden Higgins
I loved this selection. Higgins was the best wideout available as day two started in my eyes. Rumors persisted throughout Friday that a run on wide receivers could happen. The Texans didn’t wait, and Nick Caserio drafted the player he said was highest on his board.
Higgins is strikingly similar to Nico Collins physically. They’re close in almost every measurement. Height, weight, arm length, hand size, and even workout numbers are the same or slightly different. What’s better than one Nico Collins? How about two?
