The Houston Texans won their first game of the season. They won 26-3. The win moves their record to 1-4. DeMeco Ryans announced at the end of his postgame press conference that the Texans traded for Marvin Harrison Jr. Analysis on that move will follow.
Here are 11 observations from the win.
C.J. Stroud was excellent. He never appeared rattled. He was in full control the entire time. He moved the pocket to avoid pressure. Stroud trusted his wide receivers to make plays. It was one of the more complete games he has played for the Texans. The box score is going to look unimpressive, but the performance was fantastic. He’s now put together at least a solid performance in every game this year.
