Merry Christmas, Cody and to all! With the injuries that popped up Saturday, it will be a victory in my eyes, win or lose, if the team can come out unscathed in this match-up.

Merry Christmas Cody and fellow subs. Hope and pray for an injury free game. I think we have paid our dues this year.

No injuries I agree! They have paid the injury toll!

If Johnson is "legally" ours.......I say suit his ass up and have him run a few pre-determined and simple routes to let CJ get used to his game speed on routes and build some confidence in his ability to catch his passes.....Game speed and practice speed are WAY different so the more game speed reps he can get with CJ the better.

As for playing Lassiter at nickel and Okudah at corner????......SCREW THAT!!!!!......You already know how I feel about that........WORK UP Jamal Hill at nickel over the next two games and keep Lassiter where he belongs.....on the corner.

Giving Hill some full speed game reps and practice reps over the next couple of weeks will show us if he will sink or swim at the position prior to the playoffs......We already know Okudah can't swim at corner......and Lassiter will probably struggle at nickel......but he can definately swim at corner.....We are missing a nickel.....Why screw up a nickel AND a corner?????

I fully expect this to be a bit of a blowout so what is wrong with doing a little experimenting???? You're gonna get your ass kicked anyway.

Looking for a Christmas miracle........but I'm not holding my breath.

GO TEXANS!!!!

Question???......Who would you rather have at corner.....Lassiter or Okudah??

Me thinks your answer would be the same as mine....The better player....Lassiter.

You've heard me call for working up Hill as a backup to Pitre even when Pitre was healthy long ago......He has the same size, coverage skills and speed as Pitre and should have been used as Pitre's backup long ago.

I always thought Ward was being put into injury harms way as a nickel....and frankly, so did he. THAT was why he wanted to stay at safety........DeMeco knew that as well. That was why he chose Pitre for nickel and left Ward at safety to start with.

I predicted this injury situation long ago in reading the tea leaves......and if you are being honest with yourself....so did you.

Ward was too old and fragile to be put into the "big boy blender" at nickel. A different option should have been considered......I'm surprised DeMeco didn't see this possibility coming and work Hill in as Pitre's backup when he had a chance to develop his talent.......and leave Ward where he would do the most good for the team....at safety next to Bullock instead of using an inferior Murray.

Deep in my heart???.....I feel DeMeco fucked up!!!!.....TWICE

Anyway..........It may be too late at this point.......Now there is no Pitre....and no Ward......and Hill will have to learn fast and on the fly. He needs to be given that shot.....Sink or swim!!

Lassiter also needs to stay at corner.....PERIOD!!

Three LB sets won't work either.......Our LBs are good sideline to sideline.....but they are too slow to drop back into coverage. ALL of the teams we will face in the playoffs are good at short/mid crossing routes as well as running the ball up the gut or on the edges thereby freezing the LBs at the line just long enough to open up the crossing routes......A fatal flaw to 3 LB sets in today's NFL.

DeMeco has a TOTAL of 3 weeks to work up Hill into a viable nickel......He needs to do it ASAP!!!

I am a firm believer in OJT.....It's the BEST way to learn a job!!!

GO TEXANS!!!!
