Texans Worry About the Texans Not the Jets This Week
The Texans are leaning on handling their business
The New York Jets decided to start Zach Wilson this week. A few days of speculation ended with the former second-overall pick getting the nod.
When DeMeco Ryans was asked about Wilson he explained he had to worry about the quarterback’s athleticism but then turned to his team.
“But overall, not really about the quarterback or who’s at the quarterback position, but moreso this week is just all about us and us being honed in on our assignments, our fundamentals, and playing as best as we can play,” the head coach said.
The Texans are worried about the Texans. C.J. Stroud echoed the comments from Ryans.
“So, we’ve got to do what we do best and execute our things – get the looks and the reads and the scout team and things like that, but we’ve got to do what we do best at a high level. I really focus on them, of course, we’ve got to be able to handle everything that they’re doing, but don’t really want to focus too much on what they have going on.”
So what do the Texans need to work on?
