The Best Available Players for the Texans for Day Two of the NFL Draft
The Texans can benefit from good players getting pushed down the board
Last year an undereprested element in the trade for Will Anderson was the lack of potential top-end talent at pass rush in this year’s draft. The first edge rusher went 15th overall last night further validating Caserio’s trade for the eventual defensive rookie of the year.
Nick Caserio nailed it again.
With DeMeco Ryans calling where the Texans moved into the second round the “sweet spot” of the draft, I am not sure that the Texans could have seen this group of players hit their area of the draft. Players drafted at positions the Texans don’t need or won’t prioritize early allowed some intriguing prospects to slip into the second round.
There are some absolute gems still on the board. The Texans have ammunition should they need to move up too.
