I'm not sure I have ever seen a football team this undisciplined. I'm pretty sure those inner-city Houston schools we played back in 9th grade non-district games saw less laundry than the Texans have so far this season...
I am not happy with Slowik. I understand the notion of wanting to run the ball, but at some point, hopefully only when Mixon is not there, he has to coach pass first.
QB, RB, WR, DL and LB play were well within aceptible standards....a couple of groups even pushing elite. Your take on the DBs was on point as well. All of your "need to get better" points were spot on.
I was glad to see Fisher get some full speed, game snaps for experience and would have preferred Coach leaving him in to get more.
As most people know....I feel LT is on his last leg....LITERALLY.....He needs to be kept on the bench during games as "insurance" in case of injury and spend his practice weeks in rehab. I would suggest practicing Tytus at 1st team left tackle this week and putting Fisher on the right side. I think CJ would feel better if a seasoned veteran had his back side instead of a rookie and I think Tytus would play better than LT.
I relinquish my soapbox on that point....LOL
Overall we beat a team we were supposed to beat and wonder of wonders?!?! At this point of the season we are the #2 seed in the AFC!!!!
This week we finally face one of the tests of our AFC mettle in the Bills and get to see if we are actually a legit threat to KC and the other AFC contenders.....or just hopeful wannabes.
This week the Chiefs face NO and next week they face the 49ers.......If we can handle business this week and next and they stumble we could be the #1 seed with a two game advantage!!!!
Good job Landry. I feel you were spot on especially the clock management.

Nice guys don’t finish first, talking to you Strausser. Accountability has to fall to someone and fixed immediately.
Good eval LL......
