The Winning Continues as Texans Comfortably Handle Cardinals
The Texans started fast and never looked back.
The Houston Texans won their sixth consecutive game, beating the Arizona Cardinals 40-20.
Here are 11 observations from the victory.
The Houston Texans handled their business against the Arizona Cardinals. It was one of the better overall games they have played this season. It felt similar to the victory over the Baltimore Ravens earlier this year when the Texans operated from ahead most of the time. The Cardinals showed signs of life, but never truly threatened to get back in the game. Houston was there to cut them off. The Texans have won six straight games and remain in the thick of the playoff hunt.
Houston’s offense scored on nearly every drive. That’s what a good team does to an inferior team like the Cardinals. This was not the toughest test for the offense, but they handled their business well. There were some red zone hiccups and a couple of procedural penalties, but the Texans kept putting points on the board. It was nice to see the offense start hot, keep smoldering, and add to the lead almost every chance they received.
