Vikings Dominate Houston to Hand Texans First Loss
Houston never got settled on the road as Vikings lead throughout
The Houston Texans were annihilated by the Minnesota Vikings dropping their record to 2-1. They lost 34-7.
Here are 11 observations from the loss to the Vikings.
The Texans played from behind and never caught up. They never really felt close to catching up. It was an incomplete performance from the offense which never clicked. The defense had stretches where it performed well but couldn’t hold back a Viking offense that is humming right now. A career day from the opposing quarterback will always be tough to stomach. The Texans couldn’t handle a lot of the adversity from today.
Penalties eradicated any chance of consistency early. The Texans had seven penalties in the first half highlighted by Laremy Tunsil’s inability to keep the laundry off the field. One of the pricest linemen in football constantly made errors that cost the Texans. He came into the game with four penalties. He finished with six in this game with one of them being declined. An illegal formation wiped out a first down two different times. He had a false start on a rushing play that led to a first and 15 where the Texans threw an interception.
