What Will C.J. Stroud and the Offense Have for the Browns Defense?
It's Stroud's first game against the league's top defense
C.J. Stroud didn’t play the Browns last time the Texans played Cleveland. It will be his first taste of the Cleveland Browns and their league-leading defense.
The Texans have struggled against top defenses this season. In games Stroud played the entire game the Texans averaged just 15.75 points per game. That would be in the bottom four in the league. Add in the loss to the Jets and the Texans average 13.8 points per game. That would be a league-worst.
The Texans have attacked the deep middle better than any team in football. The Browns defend it better than any team in football. Jim Schwartz is 9-1 in his last ten against Kyle Shanahan. His defense is built to attack these types of offenses.
Now that the bad news is out of the way, here’s the good news.
