Who Can Play Guard and Center for the Texans?
Football's "Next Man Up" Mentality About to Be Tested by Texans
“Nobody is going to feel sorry for where you are as a team, so it’s unfortunate. It’s one of the things that you have to deal with, we have to deal with it, every team has to deal with it, so that’s kind of where we are.”
The general manager of the Houston Texans Nick Caserio detailed on Wednesday how a once hopeful situation for the Houston Texans turned into a “wait who are you again” moment for the offensive line.
It was one of the most expensive and heavily invested offensive lines in history, and now the Texans are scrambling to plug-and-play pieces ahead of a matchup with one of football’s most consistent and tough defenses.
Expected starters Kenyon Green and Juice Scruggs are hurt. Green is lost for the season. Scruggs will miss a few games.
The Texans have to find a starter at both those spots going forward.
