Will Bobby Slowik Get the Offense Running Again?
Bobby Slowik explained why the running game got off track
The Houston Texans had gashed two opponents. Devin Singletary was gliding past Bengals and Cardinals defenders on his way to 262 yards and two rushing touchdowns. The ground game was rolling and Dameon Pierce was set to return.
Then the running backs got 11 carries for 32 yards with the Jaguars never really leading by a ton.
Why so few opportunities for the rushing attack when it had worked so well?
“I’ve talked about this before, some of it is influenced by the defensive structure, some of it is influenced by matchups we like or how our quarterback is playing,” offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik said. “Some of it is influenced by how the run game is going.”
The run game never got going. Slowik explained it was hard to go away from C.J. Stroud.
