The Texans suffer a tough loss at home severely hurting their division chances
The Houston Texans dropped to 6-5 and saw their winning streak snapped at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-21.
Here are 11 observations from the loss to the Jaguars.
The Texans got started slow and couldn’t complete the cardiac comeback again. Jacksonville had answers for some of the offensive and defensive schemes for the Texans and C.J. Stroud couldn’t make every Superman play. The day was filled with miscues and mistakes that were just a little too much to overcome for the young Texans team. It’s not quite a “one that got away” game but this one has to sting and gives plenty to for the coaches to clean up.
This deals a significant blow to the chances of winning the AFC South. The Texans have to get some help from the teams left on the schedule for the Jaguars. They need Jacksonville to lose a few games, specifically AFC and AFC South ones, and then the Texans have to take care of their business. The wild card is the route the Texans will have to take now.
